We recommend the following steps to keep your mat in the best condition and last as long as possible:
First Use
Inspect the mat for any signs of damage and let us know immediately via email if you see any
The new mat smell is completely normal. Leave unwrapped and it will naturally fade – if taken outside, keep in the shade
Curling may occur at the ends when wrapped up for a long period of time. Just flatten the mat and place heavy objects like books at the end to reduce this
Cleaning
Hand wash using a clean, soft damp cloth or eco-friendly soap with water
For a deep clean, add 200ml of white vinegar to a bath of warm water and soak for 30 minutes
Do not machine wash. To dry the mat, use a towel
Wipe down the mat gently and avoid over-cleaning. Scrubbing can damage the non-slip texture and design
Please do not use any chemical cleaning sprays and we recommend avoiding essential oils
Workouts and Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight – this can cause discolouration
Keep in mind heavy, repetitive impact could damage the mat. Pilates, yoga, stretching and other low impact moves are best
Avoid letting pets on the mat – paws and claws can damage the surface
Limit placing other items on top of the mat
Avoid placing close to heat sources like a radiator or fire
